Car Wash and Detailing

Weekly. Washing once a week will properly maintain the paint and exterior of your vehicle.

Don’t get us started! To put it simply though –

  • We are quicker – washing your car in under 5 minutes
  • We provide freebies – check out our detailing stations which includes free vacuums microfiber towels, multi-purpose cleaner, tire shine and brushes, and mat cleaning
  • We are environmentally friendly – the average person uses 100-150 gallons of fresh water when washing a car by hand, while The Local only use 50 gallons! Also, all of our soaps are 100% biodegradable and safe for the environment! Finally, washing at our location will prevent run-off of soaps in local watersheds that could harm local fish and wildlife!

We accept most cars, vans and trucks up to 86 inches in height (7 feet 2 inches) and must have at least a 4-inch ground clearance.

Unfortunately, we cannot wash trucks with dual wheels. We guarantee the safety of all factory-installed equipment in proper working order. We do not accept liability on vehicles over 10 years of age and any aftermarket installed items on vehicles.

We accept cash, credit, debit, and The Local gift cards. You can also sign up for our hassle-free Unlimited Monthly Plans utilizing RFID technology and we will charge your card automatically once a month.

The RFID tag is a sticker about the size of a stick of gum that is applied to the lower left-hand corner of your windshield where you’ll never notice it. Using the latest RFID technology (radio frequency identification) each vehicle is instantly recognized as it approaches our automated pay station. Once a vehicle is identified, it is granted access to the wash tunnel and our computer automatically provides the proper wash package. The RFID is currently used in our Unlimited Monthly Wash Plans only.

Auto Service and Inspection

Your vehicle needs to be inspected every 12 months

There could be a number of issues, so the best way to ensure you are safe behind the wheel is to bring your vehicle into our shop for a multi-point inspection. We can diagnose the issue and lay out next steps to fix the problem.

Fluids like transmission fluid, brake fluid, engine coolant, and power-steering fluid are most often affected by extreme temperatures. We advise checking them every time you change your oil, or every couple of months.

Typically, there are two filters in a vehicle, engine and air cabin filter. A dirty filter can prevent airflow, limiting the engine’s ability to expend hot air. The conventional timeframe for replacement is every 30,000 miles, but check periodically for replacement.

Brake pads begin to wear out between 20,000-30,000 miles. Brake pad wear occurs due to a number of factors. If you feel your vehicle is taking longer to stop, or you notice high pitch screeching / grinding noise when breaking, you likely need to schedule a checkup. Using worn brake pads will affect the rotors (costly repair), so take a proactive approach to replacement!

The standard battery is projected to last 3-5 years, but temperatures can impact battery life. If headlights and dashboard lights are starting to dim, best come in to get your battery checked.

Having your tires rotated every 6,000 – 8,000 miles is a good rule of thumb to ensure tires wear evenly.

Every 3,000 – 7,000 miles, or every 3 months. Also, check your owner’s manual.
