Despite being extremely busy this summer and fall at The Local, we never took our eye off the end goal, connecting with the community and all our local neighbors! We are happy to report that we were able to give back to the community and support some incredible fundraisers / charities this spring, summer, and fall through fun events and sponsorships! Our fundraising partnerships included (i) Healthy Kids Running Series, (ii) Spring of Hope Ministries, (iii) Boy Scout Troop 135, (iv) PA Starz, and (v) Boys and Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg.

This summer, we hosted an event with Healthy Kids Running Series with 100% of our car wash proceeds that day being contributed to a fantastic cause! Healthy Kids is an amazing non-profit aiming to motivate kids to lead a healthy and active lifestyle through a positive introduction to the world of running! We were able to raise $750 through our fundraising event, but please continue to reach out, donate, and support!

In late spring, the fathers and sons of Boy Scout Troop 135 were able to join us at The Local to raise money by selling their locally curated $5 coupon books! The Boy Scouts may need to show our own salespeople a thing or two because they sold over 30 coupon books in an afternoon! What a showing by the kids!

Later this summer, we were able to partner up with Spring of Hope Ministries for their annual golf outing at Waynesboro Country Club! We hope everyone that participated only had a few bogeys (single, double, and / or triples!), or minimally had a “fun time” hacking away on the links! We were able to sponsor hole #9, so hopefully you all shot your best, and saw all of our swag! We can’t wait to get on the course again next year. Hopefully we can all tighten up our scores!

This fall, we are partnering with PA Starz, a non-profit organization that supports competitive cheerleading activities! PA Starz’s mission is to deliver a professional, quality product while being the best role models for their young athletes. Check out and buy The Local Car Wash sponsored PA Starz T-shirts to support a fantastic charity, and get your Spirit Fingers warmed up for all of the fun fall events as the cheerleading season starts up!

Finally, we partnered with Boys and Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg (“BGCCS”) for our first annual Halloween event – the “Tunnel of Terror” at the Local, and donated proceeds to support a growing youth organization that offers after school programs that are designed to develop kids both academically and socially. Go check them out today! Your donation not only supports the program costs but also provides scholarships for families in need!

As always, The Local is looking to support great causes in Chambersburg / Franklin County and give back to the community. We want to thank all of our customers for all your patronage, as we would not be able to operate a successful car wash without your support and give back to the community! If you know, manage, or want to start (crazy idea?!) a great fundraiser / charity, let us know! At The Local, we don’t just wash cars, we support our fantastic community, neighbors, and customers!!
